| ITEM (1): Planets On Parade - Exclusive images from the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft show three planets coming together on the side of the sun opposite from Earth. This sequence covers the period from April 21 through May 5th. At the end of the sequence, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn were all in the field of view of the Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) instrument on SOHO. This action packed sequence also includes a large coronal mass ejection on the lower right portion of the Sun and a Sun-grazing comet. On May 17, the planets will be even more tightly grouped, with Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all coming into close alignment. Courtesy: NASA/ESA
