| LUNAR RECONNAISSANCE ORBITER NASA'S FIRST STEP BACK TO THE MOON | G06-013 | 3/8/06 | 5:24 | The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is NASA's first step to taking people back to the Moon. Set for a 2008 launch, the probe is expected to circle the moon for at least one year and return detailed maps of the lunar surface, data on the moons radiation levels and an in-depth look at its polar regions for resources that could be tapped by future astronauts.
